Communication in Engineering-Option #3

  1. Wow!! I am very impressed by your presentation. I really like how you gave a summary with a function in it. That was very creative. You should help the authors of the two books we are reading, for this class, create presentations to make their material more interesting.

Why did you choose the spiral design to get your point across? A flow chart of ideas makes sense, but what drove you to choose that shape?

I really like how when it's zoomed out the spiral seems more complex and then when you break it down, it is easily understood.

Would this confuse a person that doesn't enjoy visual learning?

Overall, I think your presentation is awesome! How did you make it?

  2. It just amazing.....

I have same feeling about the importance of communication in engineering as you do. Just like you,I also think it is important to have a good communication in team(Just like what you think.)

I also love the formula you give.

My question is why didn't you use lists in final? If you list points,it will be much easier to remember.

    Anyway,great presentation. I love it.

  3. Anant,
That was a pretty insightful presentation [and btw, prezi’s so much cooler than powerpoint, I always use it myself too ;-) ]

I liked the example in your ‘principle spiral’; even though I did not quite understand the very first step in it (It may be because of a grammatical error) it was pretty simple and concise yet quite meaningful. I was amazed to see how you explained a complicated topic such as communication in such few words. It would have been a lot better if you elaborated a bit more on the last formula on engineering that you gave because it seemed like too much information in very little space. Also, I liked your example because it explained the importance of teamwork for engineers very well.

    About your prezi –

I liked the way you presented your information but from my perspective it would have been more effective if you used layering and grouping to decrease excessive panning which would avoid motion sickness. The Prezi website has some pretty good videos on how to make your presentation more effective. Otherwise, I think you have some commendable communication skills.

  4. Hey Anant,

Very impressive! I like how you put together the.... I'm not even sure what to call it... presentation? The only thing I would advise... SPELL CHECK! I saw multiple spelling errors and since we are talking about communication, it just really stands out.

I liked how to changed it up having us jump from one point to another, it helped it keep a quick pace and it was a good read, but I'll admit I got a bit dizzy. Overall it was good though, well done :)

    HAPPY FRIDAY!
